Seward Community Playground NEWS
Build dates are May 13-18, clean up May 19 & 20. The money has been raised and now we need your help to get the playground built! VOLUNTEERS still needed. We need 100 people per shift during the week and up to 250 per shift on the weekend. Shifts are 8 a.m.-noon, 12:30-5 p.m., 5:30-8:30. Construction skills are unnecessary. You can help with food, childcare, man the volunteer or materials/tools tables. There's a job and shift that are right for you!! Clean up volunteers also needed on May 19&20. Sign up to volunteer directly online. We will feed you. We will provide free childcare. TOOLS are needed. TOOLS DRIVE on May 10 & 11 at the site from 10a.m.-5 p.m. Tools will be color coded and inventoried. Anything broken will be replaced. Check out what we need online on our tools list. Tools can be picked up after the build on May 19 &20 at the site. Finally, help us celebrate this amazing community project on May 18, 6 p.m. We're having a community potluck luau. We'll supply the pigs!! Bring a dish to share. Kenai Peninsula College Council Seeks New Mmembers
Kenai Peninsula College is seeking interested community members to serve on its College Council. The 15-member borough-wide council serves as an advisory board to the college director and advocates for the interests of the college to the community and legislature;members serve 3-year terms.
People interested in serving should submit a letter of interest and resume by May 30 to: College Director, Kenai Peninsula College, 34820 College Drive, Soldotna AK 99669. Those applying for the position will be asked to attend the 6p.m., June 12 council meeting at the Kenai River Campus in Soldotna to discuss their qualifications with the council.
